Serving the Door County community since 1912

About Us

Yesterday

The Ephraim Men’s Club is Wisconsin’s oldest continuing Non-Profit Organization! Founded on March 12, 1912, it has been serving the Northern Door Peninsula communities for more than 110 years.

In 1912, several men from the Village of Ephraim organized the Men’s Club and helped to establish the Northern Door High School, later renamed Gibraltar High School. In 1913, the EMC raised funds for a roadway through Peninsula State Park Golf Course.

Since the 1980s, the club’s principal focus has been to raise money for college scholarships for Gibraltar High School graduating students.

Today

The EMC has helped scores of Gibraltar High School graduates go on to higher education with donations and the proceeds from the EMC Annual Scholarship Benefit Pancake Breakfast. EMC members sell breakfast and raffle tickets, secure sponsorships from local businesses, and cook and serve breakfast to 500 guests on the first Saturday in August each summer.

Over the last 5 years, EMC has awarded over $100,000 in scholarship grants to

deserving graduating seniors based on their academic performance, extracurricular activities, leadership, community service and need.

Tomorrow

To ensure the future of our organization, our growing Pancake Benefit and our support of young scholars, we need you! We have a simple $35 annual membership fee and each member’s commitment to sell or pay for 20 Benefit tickets.

We also ask that you volunteer to help at the annual Benefit Breakfast.

EMC is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization and your membership dues and any ticket donations or outright donations are tax deductible.
